Jackson Pollock

What do you think caused Pollock to change the way he was working?

- His alcoholic behaviour causing him to be paranoid of his work which would reflect in the paintings he would create.

- The reviews by the critiques such as Clem, did not agree with the paintings Pollock exhibited for his first show at the Guggenheim Museum causing Pollock to be discouraged by his style of abstract art therefore affecting the journey of finding a new refreshing style of work.

- The pressure from his lover, Lee Krasner, where she would constantly try to label his style of work and, point out errors and suggest her own ways of improving his paintings causing Pollock to stress.
